    In 2006, a finalist from American Idol, Chris Daughtry, formed a band in North Carolina which was named after him. The first members of the band were Chris Daughtry (vocals and guitar), Josh Paul (bass and backing vocals), Josh Steeley (lead guitar), Joey Barnes (drums, backing vocals, percussion, and keyboard), and Jeremy Brady (backing vocals and rhythm guitar). In 2007, Jeremy Brady left the band and he was replaced by Brian Craddock.

    In their recent interviews, the band mentioned that they are currently working on their second album but the title has yet to be announced. They said that their second album is expected to hit the record stores by spring of 2009. Chris Daughtry said that he is currently working with OneRepublic’s Ryan Tedder so fans should expect original tracks for this rock album.

    According to the official site of Daughtry, the band will release a deluxe edition of their self-titled album on September 9, 2008. There will be four tracks that were not included in their debut album and a DVD of their music videos as well as exclusive road footages.
