After that first album was released, the band started developing a very supportive fan base. The band's second album was called Under the Table and Dreaming. It was released in 1994, that same year they went on their first American tour, which lasted more than a year. A lot of people come out, in fact, many dates were sold out. Under the Table and Dreaming sold more than 4 million albums.

    In 2007, the group recorded their seventh album and also went on a European tour. In 2008 the band is preparing for their eighth studio album. The Dave Matthew’s Band has received a number of industry awards, they include a nomination for Best Rock Performance by a duo or group with vocal. They were also nominated for best short-term music video for “What Would You Say” in 1996.
