John Mayer began his recording career after being signed with Aware Records hours, which was a new label at the time. The company released his first album, Room for Squares, for Internet download only. Aware would later sign a deal with Columbia records, and they would pick up Mayer. Columbia made some changes to the album, Room for Squares and re-released the album. Popular songs on the album included, Your Body is a Wonderland” “Why Georgia” and “No Such Thing”, and it became a huge success upon re-release.
