Before 1990 ended, Phish started playing concerts that are more intricate. More often than not, they asked the audience to get involved and not just only watch or listen.

David Welker did the artwork for the Rift and promotions were mostly done by Elektra. Just a year later, another album from the Phish was released entitled Hoist. Phish drew more than 60,000 fans when they performed during the Lemonwheel festival in 1998. But they had more audience when they had a gig at the Volney Airport located in New York. There were more then 65,000 Phish fans who attended that event.

Unfortunately, the Phish broke up in 2004. Almost all of the members had their solo projects and collaborated with other artists as well. Phish fans don’t have to be heartbroken.
