    ZZ Top is hard rock band originating from Houston, Texas. They have been active since 1969, and are still going after almost 40 years. They are even still made up of all the original bands members, which is surely some sort of record. The members are Billy Gibbons on guitar, vocals, and harmonica, Dusty hill on bass, and vocals, and Frank Beard on the drums. Reportedly, in 198, Gillette offered Gibbons and Hill one million dollars each to shave their beards for a TV commercial. Unfortunately, the duo declined, saying that they were too ugly without them.

    Recently, ZZ Top has performed at the 2007 Orange Bowl game in Miami, and 2008 Auto Club 500 NASCAR race at Auto Club Speedway in Fontana, California. The band is currently unsigned, and has no label, but in May of 2007, Dusty said that they were looking for a new contract, and were eager to start recording again.
