Colorado Rockies Tickets
The Colorado Rockies are professional baseball franchise established in the early 1990s. They compete in the National League, in the West division. The team's home is in Denver, Colorado. The first year as an expansion franchise in the league was expectantly difficult. However, the fans came out in droves. In the Rockies home attendance was nearly 4.5 million and set a major-league baseball record for home attendance. Another positive for the team was the play of Andres Gallaragas who hit .370 that year and won the batting title.

The team moved into Coors Field, a new ballpark in 1995. The Rockies would go on to win 77 games that year and placed second in their division. They also made the playoffs that year as a wildcard. They would end up losing to the Atlanta Braves in the National League Division series. 2007 was a great year for the club. They won 90 games last season out, which was the most games that the franchise had ever won. There was a bit of controversy when season-ending award where handed out. Specifically, none of the Rockies won a Gold Glove award in the National League. This was quite surprising since Todd Helton and Troy Toulowitzi had better stats then the individuals who won the awards.
At the end of 2007 that team was tied with the Padres for the wildcard spot. The two teams had to participate in a playoff game at Coors Field to determine who would get the wildcard berth. The Rockies would go on and win that game. This was the first time in 12 years that the Rockies would be able to participate in the playoffs. The first team that the club had to play were the Philadelphia Phillies, which they swept. They went on to play the Arizona Diamondbacks. The Rockies would go on to beat the Diamondbacks, 3-1 winning the National League. They went on to play against the Boston Red Sox in the World Series, and lost in four games.
