Denver Broncos Tickets
Beginning play in 1960 as a charter member of the AFL/NFL merger, the Denver Broncos have been playing football in Denver, Colorado for many years. A part of the AFC conference Western division, and a current member of the National Football League, the Broncos are a popular team who has posted plenty of wins and a few Super Bowl appearances. The team has had its share of struggles both on the field and off. Tailback Damien Nash died suddenly after a basketball game and cornerback Darrent Williams was killed in a drive-by

shooting, both events occurring in 2007.
The early years were dampened with losing streaks and it wasn't until 1973 after 13 years of struggle that the Denver Broncos started to see wins. They secured their first playoff victory in 1977 and made their first Super Bowl appearance when they faced and lost to the Dallas Cowboys, 27-10.
When John Elway stepped into the Denver Broncos locker room in 1983, the losing streaks were over. The quarterback took the Denver Broncos to five different Super Bowl games during his time with the team and ended his career in 1999 as the MVP of Super Bowl XXXIII. The year 1995 brought running back, Terrell Davis. He helped lead the team to their first Super Bowl victory in 1997. The wins continued even after John Elway retired. The Denver Broncos have had only two losing seasons since his retirement. They were in 1999 and again in 2007.
For 40 years, the Denver Broncos played their home games at Mile High Stadium. However, they began playing their home games at INVESCO Field at Mile High in 2001. The new Mile High Stadium, INVESCO Field, sits at an altitude of 5280 feet or 1 mile above sea level. Some people believe that the high altitude is part of the Denver Broncos success.
